MAD Spring Break activities continue

The Murphy Arts District will continue to host activities at the MAD Playscape, 301 S. Hill Ave., throughout the week.

Liz Young, a graduate of Leadership Union County, will kick today's activities off, reading "Otto the Otter & the Great Arkansas Mystery" at 11 a.m. At 3 p.m., Mike Means, an instructor at the South Arkansas Arts Center, will lead children in improvisation games.

Both activities will take place at the MAD Playscape. The activities are free and open to the public with no registration required, but children must have a parent or guardian present with them.

Salvation Army providing meals

The Salvation Army of El Dorado will continue to provide sack lunches each week day during Spring Break. Lunches are expected to be ready for pick-up starting at 11 a.m. Locations include Arnold's Upholstery at 1015 S. Washington; Bradley Woods Apartments at 912 N. Yocum Ave.; Haygood Neal Apartments at 1315 W 1st Street; Hudson Place Apartments at 301 Hudson Street; Vineyards Apartments at 550 Beverly Drive, and in the Wildwood Circle area.

Other locations will include 112 W. Main in Calion; 701 Olen Ave. in Huttig; and a Mobile station in the Fairview area.
