SHERIDAN - El Dorado girls’ soccer pitched another shutout Friday, this time at Sheridan 8-0. The Lady Wildcats improved to 6-1 going into Spring Break.

All six victories have been shutouts.

El Dorado beat the Lady Yellowjackets 10-0 on Tuesday.

“Sheridan played a little bit better this time around. They had a little more grit,” said El Dorado coach Neville Matthews. “I think our guys went into this one knowing they were the dominant team. They played well but I think they could’ve played a little harder. They figured they had it and they were dominating so they just, I felt like they were going through the motions a little bit.”

Marleigh Bonsall scored four goals to lead the way. London Ingram scored twice with Julia Jackson and Caroline Meadows each netting a goal apiece.

El Dorado led 6-0 at the intermission. The Lady Wildcats did not give up a shot on goal.

“The second half they picked it up,” said Matthews. “The defense is still jelling. I need a little more chemistry between the midfield and up top when we play the better teams. But overall I was happy with the way they played.”
