SMACKOVER – In a season that has had plenty of outstanding pitching performances in its early stages, Wyatt Parker added his name to that list by firing a no-hitter to lead Smackover past Dumas 14-1 in 8-3A play on Tuesday.
The Bucks scored 10 runs in the fourth to break the game open, and Parker finished off his no-hitter in the fifth to end the game via the sportsmanship rule.
Parker walked three and struck out 10 while allowing an unearned run in the fifth.
Three players had multi-hit games for the Bucks with Judson Wolfe going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, while Trace Davis was 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored two runs and Dawson Walker finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored two runs.
Britton Warren went 1-for-2 with one RBI and scored a run, and Sawyer Cropper went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. He scored one run.
Smackover (5-2, 1-2) hosts McGehee in a league clash on Thursday.
