Having not played in nearly a week due to the winter storm, Strong was able to get back on the court prior to finishing its conference slate by outlasting West Side Christian 59-49 on Thursday night.

Kaiden McHenry and Dontae Stringfellow had 14 points apiece for the Bulldogs (7-9), who won their second straight and are scheduled to take on Dermott in an 8-1A clash on Friday in their home finale.

The Bulldogs also got a big lift from freshman Decoria Clemens, who scored 12 points.

“He has given us a tremendous lift in the last two games,” said Strong coach Alex Howell.

Nathan Pearson had 22 points, while Cayson Martin added 12 points and Stephen Spencer finished with eight points and 11 rebounds for West Side Christian (15-10).
