Junction City duo shines in victory

Junction City’s Terrell and Dhante Gibson combined for 13 tackles Saturday to lead Ouachita Baptist to a 21-13 victory over seventh ranked Harding.

Terrell Gibson recorded eight tackles while Dhante Gibson added five tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss.

The Tigers improved to 4-0 on the season.

-El Dorado’s Terry Hampton had one tackle in Arkansas’ 23-21 loss to Texas A&M.

-Smackover’s Jordan Jones had four receptions for 43 yards in Missouri State’s 28-14 loss to South Dakota State.

-Parkers Chapel’s Caleb Jacobs had one rush for three yards, one punt return for nine yards and one kickoff return for 21 yards in UAM’s 35-14 win over Arkansas Tech.

-El Dorado’s Denzel Walter had three tackles including one tackle for loss in Henderson State’s 28-14 loss to SAU.

-El Dorado’s Dalton Perdue played on the offensive line in SMU’s 42-34 loss to TCU.

-Parkers Chapel’s Ali Looney finished 43rd out of 81 runners, competing for Louisiana Tech in the Watson Classic in Clinton, Miss. Looney had a time of 27:26 in the 6K.
