Letters to the editor Sept. 25, 2022

To The Editor;

Over in London, England, the children are well behaved and taught manners. They are taught this in school and they even finish school. This past Monday night, I saw Queen Elizabeth's funeral. I noticed how well behaved Prince George and Princess Charlotte were. Now you don't have to be a part of Parliament to be taught these manners and proper etiquette. We could learn a lot from them. Unlike here in the United States, most of our children are like wild animals. I'm not saying all children are like that, but their are some that don't even have manners. In our country more of our children, when they become teenagers to early adult, they end up in trouble, with the law or wind up in the cemetery. More parents need to teach their kids manners and to respect their Elders, as other people's property. Why don't they teach them Emily Post's book on Etiquette in our public schools? That would be a great textbook. I know many of you reader's would think, why don't you go live in London, England. Not a bad idea, but a trip by plane costs a lot of money. We just need to teach our children here in the United States to have proper conduct as well as manners and respecting our Elders and have proper Etiquette.

To the Editor:

This year marks the 42nd anniversary of In Search of the Lord's Way. Founded by the late Mack Lyon, Search has reached many for Christ. Based at the Edmond Oklahoma Church of Christ, Search uncompromisingly preaches and teaches the Gospel, and strongly committed to helping restore New Testament Christianity. Phil Sanders, also a veteran preacher in the Lord's Church is now at the helm of Search. Each week Phil closes the program by giving the NT plan of salvation-hear, repent, confess, be baptized, live faithful to death. Incidentally, baptism is important to being saved. The scriptures teach in baptism one puts on Christ and "baptism does also now save us" Kudos to Mac and Phil.Keep up the good work in the Lord's church.
