Parkers Chapel and Junction City will tee it off in the district golf tournament this week at Hope Country Club. The girls tournament will be held on Tuesday with the boys playing Wednesday.
Tee time is 10 a.m.
The Lady Trojans are the defending district champions but will be chasing Horatio on Tuesday. PC’s lineup is expected to be Bella Frisby, Reaux McAuliffe, Makenzie Morgan and Lorali Barnes.
The Lady Trojans shot 266 on this course last week.
“They have worked really hard and have shown improvement all season. I am proud of both of these teams,” said PC coach Hillary Frisby. “Hopefully their hard work and determination will pay off this week at the conference tournament.”
The Trojans’ lineup will be Landon Black, Gavin Prothro, Camden Hall and Cade Fennell. PC shot 274 on the Hope course.
Frisby said Spring Hill and Fordyce could also contend for the boys’ championship.
The teams played a practice round on Monday.
“We have had a great season,” said Frisby. “Our goal going into conference is to score low enough to qualify for state with both teams.”
