Paint the Town Pink today

The 10th annual Paint the Town Pink 5K Color Run and Leslie Darden Memorial 5K will be held today. Runners will take off at 8 a.m. and roads along their path will be blocked off this morning. Their route will start at Elm and Jefferson, head north on Jefferson around Mellor Park Mall, turn east onto 13th Street, turn south onto Madison Avenue and end at the corner of Hill and Main streets, back on the Square. Late registration will begin at 7 a.m. today at the starting line.

American Legion to hold rummage sale

The American Legion Post 10 Auxiliary will hold a rummage sale from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. today. The group is accepting donations -- clothes, toys, books, jewelry, antiques, household items, etc. -- for the sale. Vendor space, 10 feet by 10 feet, is available for $20 and is open to private sellers only. Proceeds from the fundraiser will help the Legion support area veterans.

VFW garage sale continues

The VWF Post at 413 Industrial Rd. will host a garage sale today to support local veterans and veterans' programs. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. New items will be available, priced to sell.
