Jodie Sawyer, 75 of El Dorado passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her residence.
Born December 20, 1946 in El Dorado, she was the daughter of Earl and Dorothy Marie McKinnon Shrewsbury. Jodie was a cosmetologist and had been employed by the El Dorado Schools as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents along with her husband, James L. Sawyer whom she married on February 2, 1965.
Survivors include her daughters; Crystal Wells (Tim) and Amy Sawyer all of El Dorado along with a brother, John Shrewsbury (Debbie) of Bryant, AR and a sister-in-law, Janice Frisby (Steve) of Eagle Creek, Oregon. Also surviving are grandchildren, Brooklynn Wells, Kamryn Wells, Tristan Fries and Sawyer Fries and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Young’s. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday November 21, 2022, at Arlington Memorial Park with Bro. Tommy King officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
