Position you're running for: Justice of the Peace District 11

Prior political experience: Current member of Board of Directors for Junction City School District, 10 years.

Key issues: Address poor road conditions; better protection for our citizens; better cell or internet service in our rural areas; increase employment opportunities; seeing that our tax money is being used appropriately.

Why did you decide to run? First of all, I want to ensure that the citizens of Union County are equally represented. There are several things I would like to see improved in our area, to start with roads. I want to make a difference in our county.

What qualifies you for this office? Being a lifelong, tax-paying resident of this county.

What do you hope to accomplish if elected? I want to serve on the Quorum Court with the other Justices to assist the County Judge in making Union County a good place for our citizens to live.

What do you think is the biggest issue facing the residents of District 11 and how do you plan to address it if elected? Aside from the economy and inflation, I want to address the poor road conditions in many areas, would like to see if anything can be done to improve cell coverage in rural areas. We have seen a great need for internet services in the past two years to have continued education services in troubled times.

What should voters know about you? I've lived my whole life in Union County, married to Sandra for 37 years, raised two children in Union County, Papaw to three grands, work at (Lion Oil) Delek US refinery, member of Three Creeks Baptist Church and serve as a Deacon. Hobbies include, but not limited to, hunting, fishing, camping and anything else my family is doing.
