El Dorado's Jones announces verbal commitments for trio of standouts

El Dorado football coach Steven Jones announced that three members of the 6A state champion El Dorado Wildcats have made verbal commitments to play college football.

On Monday, two defensive players committed with senior linebacker Patrick Sixbey committed to Southern Arkansas University, while senior linebacker Jyrin Steward committed to Arkansas Tech.

Sixbey had 80 tackles, including 18 tackles for losses and 6.5 sacks. Steward had 74.5 tackles with 15.5 tackles for losses and 6.5 sacks. Both players had three forced fumbles for the Wildcats.

On Tuesday, senior receiver Jackie Washington gave a verbal commitment to sign with Southern Arkansas University.

Washington had 57 receptions for 1,183 yards and 15 touchdowns for EHS.
