by News-Times Staff | January 7, 2022 at 12:00 a.m.

After a successful run at Mountain Home to end 2021, Junction City got 2022 started on the right foot with their second straight come-from-behind victory.

Ryan Allen continued his scoring binge with 23 points and five rebounds, as the Dragons topped Woodlawn 58-53 on the road earlier this week.

At the Ultimate Ford Basketball Tournament last week, Allen had games of 22, 25 and 28 points, as the Dragons won their last two games at the event.

The Dragons trailed 18-12 at the end of the first quarter and 29-28 at intermission before taking a 48-42 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Kamarian Dade just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Jamal Johnson had six assists for the Dragons.

Luke Roberts had 18 points and Jaxson Martin had 14 points for the Bears.

Junction City (12-3, 6-0) is off until Monday when they start a busy week of three games in five days.

The Dragons host Fordyce on Monday before traveling to Parkers Chapel on Tuesday and Hampton on Friday.
