SAAC accepting applications for ‘Clue’ director

by Special to the News-Times | June 9, 2021 at 12:00 a.m.

The South Arkansas Arts Center is currently accepting applications for director for the fall 2021 production of “Clue: On Stage.”

The classic board game is brought to life in this madcap play, in which six guests are invited to a dinner party thrown by an anonymous host. They are given aliases — Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum and Miss Scarlet. What follows is a slapstick evening full of murder, mystery and laughs as they seek to puzzle out the culprit among criminals.

Performances are scheduled for October 22-31.

Interested individuals should supply a letter of intent, resume and a short production proposal. Qualified applicants need experience in their area of interest and a working knowledge of community theatre. They should have experience working with all ranges of talent, including beginners.

The deadline for applications is June 30. All applications should be sent to SAAC, 110 E. 5th St., El Dorado, AR 71730, to the attention of the SAAC Executive Director or emailed to Laura Allen at [email protected]

For more information, contact the SAAC office at 870-862-5474.
