School is starting soon, and the Perfects Boutique owners are hoping to help some high school students start the year in style.
The Perfects is working to help with a back to school clothing drive that will benefit those who cannot afford to go back-to-school clothes shopping this year.
"We're asking for like new items, as in no holes, no stains, no smells. It needs to be relatively on-trend. We want the girls to really like what they are getting," said Bri Daniel, whose mother Becky Powell owns the three store locations in El Dorado, Camden and Magnolia.
The drive started Monday and will continue through August 5.
Items can be donated at The Perfects locations in El Dorado, Magnolia and Camden. Those who donate up to 10 items will receive a 10% discount and those who donate more than 10 items will receive a 15% discount on their entire purchase order.
"We're talking jeans, tops, shoes, jackets. Anything that is within the dress codes. We're doing this in all communities. We're doing this in El Dorado, Magnolia and Camden," Daniel said.
The idea came to Daniel as she was planning the annual back to school sale.
"We do a back to school event every year, (and) I was sitting working on our fall calendar and I kind of thought of this past year -- it was such a mess last year. I hope this is going to be the beginning of a semi-normal year for everyone. I feel like one of the really exciting parts of school -- I remember shopping with my mom, the most exciting thing about it was what outfit you are going to wear? I think every girl deserves to feel that," she said.
Daniel noted that, as well as the donated items, items from The Perfects will be added to the clothing packages that are to be distributed.
The boutique is partnering with local groups for nominations of girls that will benefit from these packages.
