Strong-Huttig to utilize virtual instruction Tuesday

62% of staff being vaccinated

The Strong-Huttig School District will utilize virtual instruction tomorrow because 62% of faculty and staff members will be being vaccinated against COVID-19 at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Buses won't run on Tuesday. Students at school today will receive breakfast and lunch for Tuesday today.

Students are asked to log on to Buzz and Google Classroom to complete virtual assignments on Tuesday. The home basketball game scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday evening will not be affected.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we are doing what we can to ensure our students, faculty and staff members remain safe during this pandemic," SHSD Superintendent Kimberly Thomas said in an email to the News-Times.
