Two killed in Friday afternoon crash

Two men were killed Friday afternoon in a wreck on the Calion River bridge.

According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, Eric C. White, 44, of West Monroe and William J. Bradley, 21, of Hampton both died in a wreck that occurred around 4 p.m. on U.S.-167.

White, who was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Express, was headed north on the highway, while Bradley, driving a 2018 GMC Sierra, was headed south. According to the ASP report, Bradley's vehicle crossed the center line of the roadway and struck the front left bumper of White's.

Weather conditions were cloudy and dry at the time of the wreck, according to the ASP report.

White and Bradley's deaths are the 13th and 14th road fatalities so far in 2021, and the first in Union County. Theirs was the 12th fatal wreck of the year.

This story has been updated from a previous version. Based on information in a crash summary produced by the Arkansas State Police, the News-Times previously mistakenly said Eric White was driving a GMC Sierra and William Bradley was driving a Chevrolet Express.
