TEXARKANA, Texas - Coach Ashlee Curtis recorded her first victory at El Dorado on Tuesday as the Lady Wildcats downed Texas High 62-58. The score was tied 24-24 at the half before El Dorado built a 48-42 advantage going into the final quarter.

“It was a fun game and the kids are starting to learn our system,” Curtis said. “We have a long way to go but tonight we will celebrate this one, hit the books in the morning and start back in the lab in the afternoon. I am proud of this team and the fight they put up.”

Carshaila Rozier and Charalyn Rester led the Lady Wildcats with 16 points apiece with Lauren Nelson scoring eight.

The Lady Wildcats play at Benton on Friday, beginning with JV girls at 5 p.m.
