In the Southwest hospital region of the state, where Union County sits, 18 people were hospitalized due to COVID-19 Sunday, including 12 in intensive care units and four on ventilator support.

A total of 165,302 COVID vaccine doses had been administered by Sunday afternoon in the Southwest hospital region. The ADH reported that 8% of the region’s population were partially immunized Sunday and 22.4% were fully immunized.
