Lady Dragons rally past Hampton

JUNCTION CITY – Tori McLelland’s double in the bottom of the sixth inning drove in the game-winning run Thursday in Junction City’s 6-5 win over Hampton.

The Lady Bulldogs had tied the game with five runs in the top of the sixth.

The Lady Dragons jumped out to a 5-0 lead after a four-run first and another run in the second. Leslie Reddick led off the game with a solo homer.

McLelland pitched 6.1 innings for Junction City, allowing four hits with one walk and six strikeouts. Emily Burroughs got the final two outs, striking out one batter.

Mackenzie Brantley had two hits for Junction City, which had six hits in the game. Lainie Welch had two of Hampton’s four hits.
