In the Southwest hospital region of the state, where Union County sits, 16 people were hospitalized due to COVID-19 Wednesday, including five in intensive care units and one on ventilator support.

A total of 136,868 COVID vaccine doses had been administered by Wednesday afternoon in the Southwest hospital region. The ADH reported that 10.4% of the region’s population were partially immunized Wednesday and 16.6% were fully immunized.
