An El Dorado man was arrested for sexual indecency with a child; distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child; and computer child pornography on Tuesday, September 1, according to a press release from the El Dorado Police Department.

The release states that EPD officers were sent to the area of Haney and W. 5th Street following reports of a white male exposing himself to children.

According to the press release, a group of witnesses reported to officers that while traveling from their home to a bus stop last Tuesday morning, they observed a black Mustang parked beside a vacant building on West Fifth Street.

One witness reported that they soon after observed a white male looking at them and, according to the release, saw him “pull his pants down and begin pleasuring himself.”

The witnesses left the area to call the police, and were able to give a description of the vehicle and the suspect.

The EPD reports that the vehicle was located around 7:48 a.m. at a local business. Officers ran the vehicle’s license plate and identified the suspect, 43-year-old El Dorado resident Brandon Slaughter.

Slaughter was then located inside the business and taken into custody.

Later, Slaughter was transported to the Union County Jail and charged with the aforementioned offenses. Sexual indecency with a child is a Class D felony, distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child is a Class C felony, and computer child pornography is a Class B felony.

No further information on this case has currently been released by the EPD.
