Wildcat lineman records 21 tackles in loss to Bears

There weren’t a lot of bright spots to be found for El Dorado in a 33-7 loss to Sylvan Hills on Friday. The Wildcats’ offense struggled, leaving the defense on the field for approximately 80 snaps.

El Dorado defensive lineman Nic Wilson did the best he could, piling up a career-high 21 total tackles. Wilson recorded 11 solo tackles with 10 assists.

Linebacker Javin Steward had 12 tackles included nine unassisted. Jyrin Steward added nine tackles with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Cameron Margis recorded nine tackles. Damarian Rester had seven tackles with a tackle for loss. Patrick Sixbey had six tackles and safety Hollis McCuien recorded six tackles.

The Wildcats, who dropped to 2-4 overall and 2-1 in conference, will travel to Searcy this week for a key 6A-East competition.
