TEXARKANA – Parkers Chapel’s Ali Looney competed in the Genoa Central Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday and won the girls’ division. Looney’s wining time of 21:25 beat her previous best time on the course by more than a minute.

“The race went really well,” she said. “Our team went and all my teammates and I improved our times from three weeks ago running here. It was really cold, but I did feel good today considering I tried to really push it.”

This was Looney’s third victory in five races. She was second and third in her other two meets.

Freshmen Franzi Kahlert finished fifth and Bella Frisby was ninth in the varsity girls' race.
