A Beautiful Mess in Junction City will be hosting its second annual Christmas Pop-Up Sale on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A Beautiful Mess is the large renovated mansion on 352 North Elm in Junction City, now used as a venue for several local events.

The flyer for the event reads, “Come and enjoy the day with local artisans, crafters, small boutique owners, food trucks and so much more.”

“There is no admission, it is free to everyone,” Jill Wilson, A Beautiful Mess owner and event organizer said. “We have around 60 vendors and several food trucks that will be in attendance.”

If it rains on Nov. 14, the event will be rescheduled for the following Saturday, Nov. 21. Organizers ask all that are in attendance to wear a mask and socially distance in recognition of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The main focus of the event is to get people excited about the upcoming holiday season, Wilson said, and expose people to numerous local businesses that could greatly benefit during challenging economic times.

“This is a great way to support our local community; these are our friends, our neighbors,” Wilson said. “This is a great way to support our local artisans, craftsmens and small boutique owners. It is also a great opportunity for people to come out and get a head start on their Christmas shopping, get a great bit to eat, and just enjoy the day.”

Wilson said last year’s event had a great turnout and it appears that the demand and excitement for the Christmas Pop-Up Sale is even more fervent this year given the current circumstances of the world. Wilson encouraged everyone to come out and support local businesses and just have a great time.
