Frances Elizabeth Hicks, née Bush, was born April 7, 1952 in El Dorado, Arkansas. After a long battle with cancer, Frances passed away on June 6, 2020 surrounded by family and friends in Walker, Louisiana. She worked for the City of Calion for over a decade and until the time of her death. Frances will live on in the memories and hearts of her loved ones: a husband of nearly fifty years, Jackie Hicks, her children and their partners, Amy and Raymond Owens, Lyndy and Greg Burrell, Jeremy and Jamie Lynn, and Jamey and Chanel Hicks, as well as her beloved grandchildren—to whom she was known fondly as “Gimme”—Brenna, Bailee, and Browyn Owens, Tyler and Riley Crowe, Cameron, Conner, Logan, and Justus Hicks, and Dewey, Savanna, Zac, and Karyn. Frances’ life was full and happy, and she never wanted for love. Those who knew her will recall an incredibly selfless woman who showed unparalleled kindness toward everyone. Honoring Frances’ wishes, no memorial service will be held.
