James Randall Mitchell passed away unexpectedly July 3rd 2020 at Baptist Health in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Randy was born in El Dorado Arkansas on October 12, 1960 to Patricia Mitchell and the late James M Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his father.

Randy is survived by his wife and soulmate of 38 years Micki Wilson Mitchell who was the love of his life. Together they had three children, Courtney Holsapple (Daniel) of Justin, Texas, Skylar Mitchell (Brittney) of Waldo, Arkansas, and Madelyn Mitchell of Waldo.

Randy had three grandchildren Bella Strunk, Hudson Holsapple, and Harper Mitchell who were the light of his life.

He is also survived by his Mother Patricia Mitchell, Sister Teresea Pinner (Jeff), brother, Chris Mitchell (Lauren) and seven nieces and nephews who he adored as well as a host of friends and loved ones.

Rand recently retired from Albemarle where he was employed for 35 years. While there, he was an amazing boss, mentor and friend.

Randy was a gentle giant; unwavering in his faith and his love for his family. He loved to tell a good story, find a good fishing spot, watch the Razorbacks play, Hunt for big bucks, and watch endless Andy Griffith shows.

He enjoyed working in his shop on whatever project his family put him up to, and loved his dog Stormy who made every step he made for the last four years. He was a true southern gentleman who was the definition of a good man. The world is dimmer without him in it, but heaven is that much brighter.
