Mr. James Edward Palmer was born on January 3, 1947, in Camden, Arkansas to James Palmer and Oler Bell Williams.

James attended school in the Mt. Holly School District during his early years then transferred to Booker T. Washington High School in El Dorado, Arkansas. After leaving Washington High, James relocated to Oakland, California, where he spent most of his adult life and worked for M&A Towing.

James returned to El Dorado around 1998 and remained here until his death. He was employed by ConAgra and Walmart.

James was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents (Jim and Hattie Williams) who raised him in Schuler, Arkansas; paternal grandparents John and Eula Palmer. He leaves to cherish his memories, his son, James “Poncho” Michael Palmer (Jamie); grandson, James Michael Palmer, Jr., maternal aunt, Mrs. Cornella Brown and a host of cousins and friends.

Graveside Service for James Palmer will be Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at Mt. Sinai Freewill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The service has been entrusted to the professional care of Andrews Funeral Home.
