Hazel R. Reeder Cunningham, 90, of El Dorado, AR was born in Hughes Springs, TX on November 11, 1929 to the union of Ennis and Ola Smith. She was the 4th child in this wonderful family of 11 children.

Hazel passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR.

She graduated from Cotton Valley, LA, High School with honors, also received the American Legion Citizenship award for God and Country. She looked forward to Sundays to worship in the House of God and thank God for always holding her close. Hazel was a resident of El Dorado, AR since 1952. She was very active in her church and community always reaching out to minister to the sick and grieving. A very gracious woman who was loved and appreciated by her many friends and large extended family. She was married to Wilfred Reeder, father of their four children for 23 years and Thomas Cunningham for 34 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Glennon, Billy, Edwin and Winford Smith, three sisters, Maydale Enloe, Maxine Flynn, and Janice Seney, her two husbands, Wilfred Reeder and Thomas Cunningham, two sons, Randy Joe Reeder and Wilfred Dale Reeder, one daughter, Marsha Beth Reeder Hunter, a great granddaughter, Daycie Hazel Elizabeth Glueck and a large family of Reeder in- laws.

Survivors include her daughter, Joanie Lynn Reeder Quint and husband Robert of Terrell, TX, two granddaughters, Scarlet Glueck and husband Devine of Conway, AR, and Anna Clay and husband Kirk of Canton, TX, two great granddaughters, Nola Glueck, and Ellie Clay, son-in-law, Bob Hunter of Haynesville, LA, two brothers, W.D. Smith of Springhill, LA and Bobby G. Smith of Arvada, CO, one sister, Midge Carey of Holly Lake Ranch, TX

Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville, LA with Bro. David Ruehr officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
