The investigation into the fatal shooting of an El Dorado man was ongoing late Thursday afternoon, police said.
Rodney J. Hart, 36, was found unresponsive in his front yard after officers responded at 1:16 a.m. Thursday to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Cooper Drive.
While en route to the scene, officers received a second call confirming there was a victim in the shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found Hart “motionless and unresponsive” in his yard and he appeared to have sustained three gunshot wounds — one to the right hand, another to the left side near his armpit and the third in the right thigh.
Hart was pronounced dead on the scene. His body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy.
