The singers behind “I and Love and You” and “True Sadness” are headed for El Dorado with tickets on sale Friday.

The Avett Brothers, an American folk rock band made up Scott and Seth Avett, Bob Crawford and Joe Kwon; will take the MAD Amphitheater stage with special guest Tyler Childers, a Kentucky based singer, in August.

Scott and Seth were raised on a farm Concord, North Carolina, according to the band’s website. The two recorded song ideas on cassette tapes while learning piano, guitar and the banjo.

In 2009, the band released “I and Love and You,” their major label debut, which landed at No. 16 on the Billboard Top 200.

Its last major hit was “True Sadness,” which released in 2016 and garnered No. 1 rankings on Billboard’s Top Albums, Top Rock Albums Chart and Digital Albums Chart, as well as No. 3 on Billboard Top 200, according to a press release. The song also earned two Grammy nominations.

That same year, Avett Brothers was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.

The brothers and Childers will play Aug. 8, and tickets for the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 31. MAD members will be able to access presale tickets Jan. 30 and Avett Brothers Fan Club members will be able to access tickets at noon Jan. 28 until Jan. 29 at 4 p.m..

Advance, Feb. 14 - Aug. 2: $90, $80, $70 and $60

Week of Show, Aug. 3 - Aug. 8: $105, $95, $85 and $75

Before reaching El Dorado, the band will perform in Cooperstown, New York, July 24. After, it will perform with Childers in Rogers, Arkansas, at the Walmart AMP at Arkansas Music Pavilion Aug. 9 and Park City, Kansas, Aug. 11 at the Hartman Arena.
