EHS wins El Dorado Invitational

El Dorado hosted Camden Fairview and Magnolia Tuesday in the El Dorado Invitational Swim Meet at HealthWorks Fitness Center.

The hosts claimed the top spot in the combined scores race, totaling 832 points in the combined boys’ and girls’ results. Magnolia totaled 777 while Fairview had 230.

The Wildcats won the boys’ competition with 528 followed by Magnolia (398) and Fairview (175).

The Lady Panthers scored 379 in the girls’ events, besting El Dorado (304) and the Lady Cardinals (55).

Everett Gati and Payton Allman led the Wildcats with two wins apiece.

Gati touched first in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.

Allman won the 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley.

El Dorado’s Braden Major won the 500 freestyle.

In girls, the Lady Wildcats’ Adrianna Arnold won the 500 freestyle and Abigail Thompson finished first in the 100 breaststroke.

“So excited to be able to coach the team this year,” said El Dorado coach Courtney McDiarmid Canady. “They’re doing awesome and have shown tremendous growth already. Have a number of them looking forward to state.”
