HAMPTON - A year ago, Parkers Chapel made a run to the district tournament semifinals and clinched a spot in the regional tournament.
However, history did not repeat itself, as Parkers Chapel saw their season end with a 38-30 loss to Lafayette County Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the 8-2A District Tournament.
The Lady Trojans (14-13), the No. 3 seed, had swept the seventh-seeded Lady Cougars (11-15) during the regular season, but Lafayette County turned the tables on Parkers Chapel in their third encounter.
Freshman Azurea Seamster had 11 points for Lafayette County.
Drue Thomas had eight points to lead the Lady Trojans, while Taylor Fortune and Kamryn Cross added seven points apiece for PC.
