Parkers Chapel won a golf tri-match at the Hope Country Club on Monday. The Trojans shot 131 to cruise to a 21-stroke victory. Spring Hill shot 152 while Cossatot finished with a 170.
Reid Cates led PC, carding a 37 to claim medalist honors. Jackson Ellerbe shot 44 with Caleb Barnes and Spencer Frisby shooting 50 and 55, respectively. Other Trojans included Trey Rogers and Brayden Cotterman with 60 and 61, respectively.
“So proud of our PC golfers,” said Coach Mona Williams. “Reid was down by two with two to play and he birdied 8 and 9 to win.”
The Lady Trojans edged Cossatot by a single stroke to win the girls’ competition. PC shot 156 to Cossatot’s 157 with Spring Hill third at 179.
Freshmen Bella Frisby and Franzi Kahlert each shot 49 to tie Cossatot’s Kaylin McKee for medalist honors.
Hannah Brotherton shot 58 and Reaux McAuliffe 67 to round out the Lady Trojans’ scores.
PC’s girls avenged a loss to Cossatot last week.
PC’s next match is in Hope on Monday.
