Sonya Kay Cagle, 73, of El Dorado passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at her residence. She was born September 22, 1945 to Earl and Connie Bridges Blough in Corpus Christi, TX.
After working more than 20 years at Prescolite she went on to work at South Arkansas Community College, Adult Education Dept. before retiring. She was a member of Marrable Hill Chapel where her father was a founding member. Sonya was an avid reader, an award winner at cross-stitching, and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made the best banana pudding anyone has ever eaten.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and two spouses, Terry Davis and Steve Cagle.
Survivors include her two daughters, LeAnn Whiddon (Bill) of El Dorado, Becky Owen (Doug) of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Dane Pugh (Michelle), Hunter Davis (Lindsey), Drew Ashbrook; six great grandchildren; her best friend, Sarah Brasher; cousin and honorary sister, Donita Wilson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 at Young’s.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Young’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
