Suspect arrested in connection to Hurry Back robbery

A 17-year-old male was arrested Monday night in connection to a Hurry Back robbery from Sunday.

Lt. Chris Lutman with the El Dorado Police Department said the 17-year-old was transported to White River Juvenile Detention Center where he’ll be held until he sees a judge.

Lutman also said a 19-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle was also arrested for possession of narcotics. He received a criminal citation to appear in court.

Lutman said the department responded to an aggravated robbery call Sunday around 9:15 p.m. to the Hurry Back on North West Avenue.

He said the cashier reported that a white male about 5’10” wearing a ski mask and glasses brandished a shotgun and held it next to her head. The suspect left with $300 and a pack of cigarettes.

The cashier also reported that the suspect headed north bound on West Avenue in a silver SUV. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle Sunday night.

Monday night around 9:45 p.m., officers stopped a silver SUV near the intersection of Robin Road and Ondo Lane where the suspect and passenger were arrested.
