Comedian Ron White will perform in El Dorado in May 2020 and tickets go on sale this week.

White is known for his often mature or raunchy humor, so the show is for mature audiences only. Joanna Benson, marketing coordinator for the Murphy Arts District, said those who are under 18 and wish to attend should be accompanied by an adult.

“[White’s people] reached out to us about coming here instead of us reaching out them because we’re at the point now where people are starting to hear about us,” Benson said.

She also said White wanted to route through Arkansas on the way to Texas.

White, also known as “Tater Salad,” rose to fame through the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, a comedy troupe that started in 2000 and starred White, Larry the Cable Guy (Daniel Whitney), Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy.

After White left the group, it became the “Them Idiots Whirled Tour” and White’s solo career took off. He produced “Ron White: They Call Me Tater Salad,” “Ron White: Behavioral Problems,” “The Ron White Show,” “Ron White’s Comedy Salute to the Troops” and “Ron White: A Little Unprofessional” between 2004 and 2015, as well as a few other productions

White was also featured in popular television series like “Roadies,” “Reno 911!” and “Kath & Kim,” and played Tom in “Sex and the City 2” in 2010.

Tickets for MAD Members go on sale tomorrow and go one sale for the general public Friday.
