Tickets go on sale Friday for America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Robert Finley’s first performance since being on the show.
Finley, a blues artist from Bernice, Louisiana, a town about 40 minutes directly south of El Dorado, will play Nov. 22 at The Griffin Restaurant.
Tickets for Murphy Arts District members go on sale today.
MAD marketing coordinator Joanna Benson said Finley was the first performer they had at MAD, and they’re excited to have him back.
“He’s been kind of special ever since then,” Benson said. “I feel like a lot more people have gotten more exposure to him now that he’s been on the show.”
According to a press release, Finley will then be honored at the Nov. 24 New Orleans Saints game as a “Peoples Health Champion,” which recognizes the accomplishments made by those 65 and older. He will also play at One Eyed Jacks in New Orleans the same day.
Finley is a self-taught musician and learned to play music by ear, according to his website. He has also lost most of his eyesight.
In 2018, Finley was featured in Rolling Stone following hist 2017 release of his LP “Goin’ Platinum!” under Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye label.
Tickets will be $25 for general admission and $35 for reserved seating. Prices will go up by $5 the day of the show.
Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the MAD box office or over the phone at 870-444-3007.
