Wilton Dale Harris, 72, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019 at his residence.
Born May 17, 1947 in El Dorado, he was the son of James Alvin and Gracie Rowels Harris. He was member of the Assembly of God and the Masons. He had been employed as a truck driver with Ashley Transportation of Crossett.
Preceded in death by his adoptive parents and his biological parents, C. R. Smith and Virgie Stringer Smith; a brother, Ray Smith, Jr.; and a sister, Sharon White.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Veda Kaye Harris of El Dorado; a daughter, Kimberly Harris Box (Randy) of Katy, Texas; and a son, Russell Dale Harris (Jill) of El Dorado. Surviving grandchildren are Michael Box, Dakota Box, Courtney Matcek and J. W. Harris, along with great-grandchildren, Maicy Box, Audree Smith, Paige Box and Hunter Box. Also surviving is one brother, Don Duval (Clair) of Tucson, Arizona.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
