West Side Christian started the 2019-20 basketball season in earnest earlier this week with a slate of road games against River Oaks (La.)

The Lady Warriors opened their season with a 44-35 win, placing two players in double figures with Rylee Scriber scoring 16 points and Brooklin Pitard chipping in with 14 points.

In the junior girls game, West Side Christian fell 37-4 to drop their record to 1-1 on the season.

Stephfan Tabe paced three players in double figures with 29 points, but it wasn’t enough, as the Warriors were downed 70-66.

Anderson Colley had 17 points and John Wylie added 12 points for West Side Christian, who is 1-1.

In the junior boys game, the Warriors fell 41-26.

Elijah Narciso had 18 points for West Side Christian, who is 0-2.

West Side Christian wraps up play in the Pre-Season Tournament today in Magnolia.
