TEXARKANA - An eight-run fourth inning proved to be the difference in the game, as Genoa Central downed Smackover 9-1 in 7-3A play Tuesday.

After falling behind 1-0, the Bucks tied the game in the second on an RBI groundout by Rhett Richardson.

The score remained unchanged until the Dragons broke the game open in the fourth.

Josh Saulsbury suffered the loss after allowing three runs with only two being earned over 3 1/3 innings. He allowed four hits, walked three and struck out one.

Jacob Eubanks failed to retire a batter in relief, allowing five hits and four earned runs.

Baylor Brumley worked 2 2/3 innings, allowing three hits and two earned runs. He struck out two and didn’t walk a batter.

Brumley, Eubanks, Noah Wilson and Bailey Rivers each had one hit for Smackover (0-7, 0-2).

The Bucks, who won the JV game 3-2, will face North Webster (La.) Friday.
