El Dorado teen found safe hours after being reported missing

A 16-year-old girl who was reported missing Friday was found safe hours later, El Dorado police said.

An’Mya T. Moody was reportedly found at a residence in Homer, Louisiana.

Moody’s mother, Lucinda Meeks, told police June 21 she had last seen and spoken with her daughter the previous Saturday after granting the girl permission to attend a Juneteenth celebration in Camden.

Moody was last seen with a friend, 18-year-old Patiance Dunn, Meeks said.

She also told police she called Moody’s phone several times and learned her phone number had been blocked from Moody’s phone.

Meeks said she had reached out to Dunn’s grandfather in Homer, Louisiana. Meeks said she located her daughter hours later at Dunn’s grandfather’s residence in Louisiana and she brought Moody back to El Dorado.
