The Murphy Arts District has announced a new Fiesta Latina series that will include a monthly performance starting this month and running through September.

The concerts, which will be in the First Financial Music Hall at the Griffin, will include two DJ events by DJ Josue from Fire Music Disco on June 29 and Aug. 24, a performance by El Grupo Cache de Dallas on July 27 and another performance by Enigma Norteño on Sept. 13.

“We are thrilled to see our plans to develop performances for our South Arkansas and Northern Louisiana Hispanic communities come to fruition,” Pam Griffin, MAD president and COO, said in a news release, “and we were fortunate to have great support in putting Fiesta Latina together.”

According to the release, DJ Josue will be playing all of the hottest Latin hits at his two events.

El Grupo Cache de Dallas, which was formed in Dallas, Texas, in the heavily populated Hispanic neighborhood of Oak Cliff, is inspired by many Latin rhythms including regional Mexican styles such as norteña, banda and mariachi, as well as the Colombian cumbia and the sounds of the Caribbean, such as salsa, bachata, merengue and reggaeton. The band’s members come from Mexico, Honduras, Venezuela and Los Angeles.

Enigma Norteño is a regional group from Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, that broke through to stateside success in 2010 with the hit singles “El Ondeado (M1)” and “Aunque Sea en Silencio (Cuatro Paredes).” The group is known for their Sinaloense musical style, in particular their narcocorridos. The band, which has released several albums, has received generous support through their YouTube videos, where views number in the millions.

Tickets for DJ Josue’s two concerts will be available for $5 in advance and $10 on the day of each show. For El Grupo Cache de Dallas, tickets will be available for $10 in advance and $15 on the day of the show.

For Enigma Norteño, tickets will be available in two tiers: general admission and premium seating, which is a reserved area for attendees that includes a reserved seat and private bartender/server for the section. Early bird tickets for that concert are available for $20 for general admission and $100 for premium seating through June 29. Starting on July 1, general admission tickets will go up to $30 until Sept. 13, the day of the show, when the price will increase to $40.
