The University of Arkansas Extension office will begin a series of cooking and nutrition classes at the Goodwill Career Services Center on Monday.
The classes, which are free to attend, will be held every other Monday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. until August. In August, there will be two classes held on Aug. 5 and Aug. 12 at the same times.
Angela Haynes, program specialist at the Goodwill Career Services Center, said the classes will teach people about nutrition and healthy lifestyles, as well as physical activity. Those in attendance will get to taste healthy food and learn recipes, as well as receive free kitchen tools and more.
Space is limited for the classes at the center, which is located at 1430 N. West Ave. For more information, contact Felicia Moore at 870-864-1916.
