Dora Lee Cauley, 98, of El Dorado, passed away, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born November 14, 1920 to Fitzhugh and Valentine Davis McDowell in Morrilton, AR. She was a graduate of El Dorado High School, a member of the First Baptist Church. She worked in the administrative office at Lion Oil, and was co-owner of the Cauley Insurance Agency along with her husband. Dora also volunteered at the Regional Health Center, earning the volunteer of the year award for Arkansas. Her wonderful smile and her abundance of love will be missed by all. Dora was a beautiful person inside and out.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Thomas Patrick Cauley, Sr.; brother, William McDowell; sister, Kate Griffith and husband, Dale; and brother-in-law John Dowdy.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas Patrick Cauley, II (Janie) of Griffin, GA, Michael Lee Cauley of El Dorado; William Joseph Cauley of Maumelle, AR, David Brian Cauley of Memphis, TN; daughter, Eileen Anne Cauley of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Jason Cauley (Reba) of Sherwood, AR, Brett Cauley of Atlanta, GA, Joey Craig (Patricia) of Decatur, GA, Terri Freeman of Birmingham, AL; nine great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Dowdy of Nashville, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Kelley officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
