Thieves target local storage units

A series of break-ins were reported this week at a local self-storage business, according to an El Dorado police report.

An employee of Dixie Self Storage, 1100 Memory Lane, told police Monday that the locks were cut on at least three storage units.

Officers were called to the scene just before 10 a.m.

The manager of the business said she did not know if any items were missing from the units, adding that she did not know the contents of the units and she had not been able to contact the renters.

Surveillance video showed a hatchback car driving on the property, the employee said. No further description of the vehicle was available.
