Join a festive crowd of revelers at SAAC’s first-ever “Feast of Fools” dinner!

This limited-seating event offers the chance to see the first public performance of the South Arkansas Arts Center’s summer musical production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” in an intimate setting, along with a French-inspired dinner before the show.

The French-themed “dinner and a show” night, hosted by the SAAC board of directors, is scheduled for Thursday, July 18, 2019. This exclusive opening night event is for a limited number of guests.

A fabulous French dinner will be served before the show begins, with dessert scheduled for intermission. Chef Lilli Ellen, Chef Director of the Culinary Arts Program at South Arkansas Community College and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and a host of talented SAAC friends will lead this foray into French cuisine.

Event sponsor Presqu’ile Winery will be exclusively providing wines for the evening’s events. Presqu’ile will be serving both their 2015 Pinot Noir and their 2015 Chardonnay for the evening, both of which are available locally at Gene’s Liquor.

Founded by El Dorado’s own Murphy Family, the Presqu’ile vineyard is located in the cool climate of California’s Santa Maria Valley. There, they have achieve the perfect climate for growing their iconic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.

Another highlight of this event will be the night’s decor in the Price and Merkle Galleries, where the dinner is to be served. Ten SAAC friends will be decorating the dinner tables to go along with the French theme of the “Feast of Fools.”

Some hosts may be inspired by what they envision a “Feast of Fools” may look like, while others may do their tables up in French finery, a la Paris or the Eiffel Tower. Whatever the host chooses, the tables will be fun and festive for the dinner attendees and set the tone for the evening’s frivolities.
