BENNIE D. RUDDELL

Bennie D. Ruddell, 79 of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House from complications of Lewy Body Dementia.

Born October 3, 1939 in El Dorado, he was the son of Bennie Joe and Euna Elsie Bishop Ruddell. Bennie had retired after 29 years with Columbian Chemical as a shift foreman. He had also served his country during the Viet Nam War with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in El Dorado.

Preceding him in death along with his parents were his sisters, Patsy Ruddell and Betty Ruth Ruddell Smith.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Kay Ruddell, two sons, Chris Ruddell of Houston, TX and Stephen Ruddell (Tina) of Smackover. Surviving grandchildren are Blake Ruddell of Bossier City, LA, Haley Ruddell of Smackover, Odie Ruddell (Omari) of Panama City, FL and Morgan Ruddell of Temecula, CA along with one great-granddaughter, Rylie Helena Ruddell of Panama City, FL.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 8, 2019 in Young’s Chapel with Rev. John Spencer officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
