Donna Carle, 75, passed peacefully early in the morning on February 3, 2019, at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home after a long battle with vascular dementia. She was born November 22, 1943, in El Dorado, AR to Nathaniel Clyde and Eradelle Chandler Bush. Donna graduated from El Dorado High School in 1961 and from Southern Arkansas University in 1965 with a BSE.
Donna lived a life of service, working as a teacher and at the Arkansas Department of Human Services as fraud investigator, case manager, and rehab counselor. Donna volunteered much of her extra time to her beloved church and other organizations. Her family knows she was welcomed into heaven with the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!”
She will be remembered as a gracious, loving, generous, intelligent, accomplished, determined, hard-working, Christian woman. Donna dearly loved her children and family.

She is survived by her Daughter Laura Barrow (Austin) of El Dorado, AR, Grandchildren Max and Olivia Barrow of El Dorado, AR, Brother Dr. David Bush (Joanie) of El Dorado, AR, Sister-in-law Dixie Bush of Hot Springs Village, AR, Step-children Ellen Carle of Annapolis, MD, Sue Dodson of St. Louis, MO, Lucy Lindsey (Don) of Naples, FL, and many loving friends and family.
Service will be Thursday, February 7, 2019, 1PM at St. Mark United Methodist Church in El Dorado, AR. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
