Carolyn Anthony Murphy, 82 of El Dorado, AR; passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at her home.
Carolyn was born on March 5, 1936 in El Dorado; she was the daughter of Beryl Anthony Sr. and Oma Lee Roark Anthony. She was a school teacher in Richmond, TX at Calvary Episcopal Church School; was over the literacy program at Anthony Forest Products and enjoyed yardwork and birdwatching in her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Lee Anthony and a sister Patsy Sue Giles and grandson Noah Wenger.
Survivors are a son Stephen Murphy (Kelli) of El Dorado; daughters Caron Murphy of Houston, TX and Katy Murphy of El Dorado; brother Beryl Anthony Jr. (Shelia) of Palm City, FL; grandchildren Ryan, Kayla, Lindsey, Marcus, Benjamin and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2017 in the Chapel at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
