School boards to discuss 2021-2022 budgets, recognize students at meetings

El Dorado, Strong-Huttig and Parks Chapel school districts school boards will meet this evening. Smackover-Norphlet will meet tomorrow.

The El Dorado School Board will have its regularly scheduled meeting at 6 p.m. in the Board Room of the administration office.

The board will consider monthly bills payment and the proposed budget of expenditures for July 2021 through June 2022. It will also go over the annual audit report.

Students and employees from Retta Brown Elementary School will be recognized by the board, as well as math growth scores from El Dorado High School and Barton Junior High.

Hugh Goodwin Elementary was listed as top 5% in the state.

The board will also hear a policy update and an update on the School Improvement Plans.

Parkers Chapel school board will meet at 5:15 p.m. instead of 6 at the new administration building.

The board will hear the superintendent’s report, which will include a bank statement, activity funds, an athletic report and more.

It board will also consider the proposed budget of expenditures with tax levy for fiscal year July 2021 through June 2022.

Strong-Huttig’s school board will meet at 6 p.m. at the Strong High School library.

The Smackover-Norphlet school board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the boardroom of the central office.

The board will discuss the financial report, a legal transfer request and the proposed budget for 2021-2022.

It will also recognize students, volunteers and employees during the meeting.
